Re: Store and Vinzavod launch a virtual digital art platform

In 2020, we were especially acutely felt by the swellness of the order surrounding us. Everything around us, with super -scority characteristic

of our eyelids, changes forms and purpose. Who would have thought that it was the pandemic and the subsequent isolation that will push us to new communicative channels, open a whole layer of problems, change the statistics of needs, and most importantly, will become a source of inspiration.

Two largest institutions in the field of technology and art, Re: Store and Vinzavod, represent a new joint project and a real creative experiment – the Virtual platform Digitalearth. It is on it that the works of the finalists of the competition of the same name, past in the fall of 2020, are presented. From December 8, 15 interesting works of Russia and foreign countries will appear in the public domain.

The partnership of leaders in the field of art and modern technologies took place as part of the mission of promoting the current areas of art and creating a comfortable environment for its development. To identify and support the creative potential of digital coathers, a new, no analogues in Russia, a virtual platform was created.

For six years, Re: Store as part of the Re: Store Digital Art project has been holding contemporary art exhibitions, opening new names in the digital industry. Previously, expositions were located in the most popular exhibition spaces of modern Moscow. This year the exhibition will be held in online format. But, perhaps, this is what will allow the viewer to feel the pulse of time more acutely.

The platform of digital exhibitions was developed by an international team inspired by Game Art. Traveling through virtual space is a unique experience: each visitor, possessing freedom to choose his own route to familiarize yourself with the exposition, is immersed in the world of every artist.

Technically, Digitalearth’s idea was able to realize the use of the capabilities of the open-open Unrealengine platform and Pixelstreaming technology, which offers access to the gaming platform for a large number of spectators, regardless of the quality of the Internet connection. In the navigation of the gallery, the guests are helped by the “caretakers” voiced by artificial intelligence. Sound for space was created by the ITSU audio artist.

The viewer will present the best works selected by the expert council of the competition, which includes outstanding curators and artists in the field of digital visual arts: AES+F, Antonio Jeres and Svetlana Taylor. The jury included in the final list of works made using digital technologies: animation, video, painting, and other genres created using computer graphics, neural networks, VR and AR.
